Ketonic Resins

Uniform Synthetics is one of the largest resin manufacturers in the country. Our premium quality resins are suitable for manufacture of gravure inks, lacquers, flexographic inks, paper coatings, and lamination inks. It is also used in the production of PVC lacquers and nitro lacquers. This resin is ideal for surface treatment of wooden items and furniture. It also finds use in the manufacture of primer, heat seal coatings, primer, nail lacquers, gasoline-resistant coatings and base coatings.

Ketonic resins from Uniform Synthetics effectively impart levelling, gloss, and adhesiveness. Their high hydroxy polarity ensures better wetting of pigments and surfaces and improved adhesions. They are generally light in colour and excellent light retention. Plus, their tendency of solvent retention is very slight.

We manufacture 3 major types of Ketonic Resins

1. Unitone US 100 – These ketonic resins are transparent pearl-shaped granules with viscosity of 18 to 20 seconds at 30 C in FCB4 and in FCB4 at 50% solids in ethanol. They are suitable for use in screen inks, NC-based coatings, gravure inks, flexo inks and lacquers.
2. Unitone US 110 – These ketonic resins are also transparent and pearl shaped. They have melting point of 90 to 98 degree Celsius. These resins are also suitable for screen inks, NC- based coatings, flexo inks, lacquers, and Gravure inks.
3. Unitone US 1000 – This type of ketonic resin is pale yellow and in lump form. It has a higher viscosity compared to the other two types. This resin is suitable for ballpoint inks, printing inks and lacquers.
